This is a basic dubstep beat. It was done in reason 7. It is useful in that it shows you a good way to construct a beat. It consists of four 4-bar measures, each progressing from the previous. In this way, you can see how to write a good beat, by starting off simple and building from there. Traditional dubstep drums are very spare and sporadic with the use of symbols. I never liked drum beats until i heard dubstep !.

A whole buddhism ceremony in nepal. The ceremony was open for tourists. In the beginning of the recording monks play plates, drums and horns. In the middle of the recording the monks practice their ceremony with drums and without drums only repeating something that sounds like a mantra. In the end of the recording the monks play plates, drums and horns again. Recorded with zoom h2 in kathmandu in nepal in spring 2015.

This is a bit of a beat that i made in musicstudio on my ipod. The song is short but it can be looped to reach your desired length. If you are planning on using this, please leave a comment! i'd like to see how you do with it :).

Bi-drum finale. This sound provides an impact point, an action conclusion suggestion. I combined two drum sound samples, one of the impact with a deep echo, and one a hollow wood tube strike against a hard object to a certain rhythm. The sound is somewhat like the primal drum sounds used in survivor. I used magix music maker, magix software gmbh (www. Magix. Com) with two object plug-ins; solar wood 6_ogg_001. This started out as a basic kick drum pattern i was experimenting with in ableton, and then devolved into me applying an obscene amount of delay, echo, reverb, compression, and filtering. And now it sounds vaguely like a helicopter :).

This was made in serato studio, (although out of my usual comfort zone) it is edm, (i usually do house (or try to), dubstep, and dnb) and was made with nothing but drum kits, no automation, just drum kits. A fidgety drum and bass loop with a cowbell, a bunch of claps, shakers and tambourines, arranged in fl studio, run through fl studio's gross beat plugin, which was set to 1/2 speed slow, and this is what the original and the processed drumloop sound like combined.

Try as a loop! i used my acoustic guitar and did some knuckle-knocking on the body while muting strings. Sounds like a native drum! effect: speed increase from 33 1/3 rpm to 45 rpm, moise reduction and vol. Envelope. Recorded on conexant smart audio with at2020 mic, processed on audacity.
